Greatest Idea Ever

Wait to watch season finales until the next season. That way, you don't have to wait all summer to find out what happens. Just thinking about the suspense can make you crazy. Not that I think about it all summer...

Dirty Little Monster

While waiting in my car to make a left-hand turn, a gigantic monster truck races past me. Not only was it the biggest car (more accurately, truck) I have ever seen but it was also the dirtiest. Every inch of it, except for the windshield, was encrusted in a terracotta colored mud. It almost reminded me of a car from the Flintstones, with wheels made of huge stone boulders.
After a few seconds of holding up traffic, I uttered only one word, "Damn".

Get Your Swagger On

A young boy runs up to his slightly fatigued father, who had just gotten home from a his standard 9 hour work day.
"Hey Dad, you like my new pants?" He stuck out his leg, showing off his cleanly pressed, white and grey plaid pants.
"Yeah bud, they're cool. Ya lookin sharp."
Satisfied, the boy gives him an appreciative smile and continues to walk down the hall.

How Can You Not Love Chalk?

Not only is it wonderfully fun but it can keep you entertained for hours! If you mess up, no worries! Just wait until the next storm rolls in (or grab the hose if its really bad) and start new!

Sidewalk chalk is usually made of colored calcium sulfate but you can also make it at home.

Ingredients:
1 cup Plaster of Paris
1/2 cup of water
powdered tempera paint
Something to use as a mold
Directions:
Mix the water, Plaster of Paris and powdered tempera paint. The more tempera paint you add, the deeper the color of the chalk will be. Then pour the mixture into your mold. Let dry for about 24 hours.

Nicolas Flamel

Name sound familiar? Most recently known as the creater of a very special stone in Harry Potter, Nicolas Flamel has been gracing us with his immortal presence for centuries (literally).

First Born in 1330, Flamel was known as an alchemist/manuscript-seller, best known for his work on the Philosopher's Stone. Legend has it that he is still alive today. Even now, after biographies, cds, novels, video games and movies have been made, Flamel is still worming his way into the hearts of millions. You go Nick! Way to keep on truckin!
